Going GreenAtlantic Health becomes the official healthcare provider of the New York Jets.
The New York Jets are defined by their signature green and white, but fans will soon notice some fresh orange touches, too. The team is pulling up stakes on its Long Island–based practice facility at Hofstra University, and relocating it—and the team headquarters—to Florham Park.
Recognizing a unique opportunity to raise its visibility, Atlantic Health has entered into a 12-year partnership with the team, purchasing naming rights to create the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center and becoming the official healthcare provider for the New York Jets via Overlook and Morristown hospitals and their affiliated medical centers.
The state-of-the-art new facility will accommodate all the needs of the football and business operations and is sure to create a competitive advantage for the team. From cutting-edge training and medical facilities to a first-rate teaching and learning center, the facility is designed to enhance the player experience and players’ performance. The 120,000-square-foot building will house indoor training facilities, classrooms, and the corporate headquarters, and will also include an 86,000-square-foot field house to accommodate a full-size indoor artificial-turf field and four outdoor fields.
When the complex is complete (business operations are expected to be up and running this year, with football operations to follow before next summer’s training camps), Atlantic Health will be front and center with prominent signage, program ads, and cable television spots. Atlantic Health will also sponsor community health events and fund-raising opportunities, and a new Atlantic Sports Health facility will be developed in an adjacent area on the site in Florham Park.
Praising Atlantic Health, Jets CEO Woody Johnson said, “Not only are we creating a competitive advantage for our team by building a first-rate corporate campus to accommodate the needs of our football and business operations and utilizing the best that technology has to offer, we are also partnering with a company that has deep roots in the New Jersey community. We are thrilled to call them our partner.”
