Delivering the best care for your kids.
By Alyson Black
The tie that binds all parents is the desire to provide only the best for their children, and never is that more true than when it comes to protecting and preserving their health. More than 250 pediatricians provide the full complement of pediatric medical and subsurgical specialties to 50,000 kids at the Goryeb Children’s Center at Overlook Hospital and the Goryeb Chidren’s Hospital at Morristown Memorial every year. “Our patients get the highest level of care possible, with a family-centered approach,” says Walter D. Rosenfeld, MD, chairman of Pediatrics for Atlantic Health, Goryeb Children’s Center at Overlook Hospital and Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Memorial. “From birth through age 21, patients are cared for by a team of board-certified pediatricians.”
What makes Goryeb services so special?

- The Gordon E. Reeves Pediatric Emergency Department at Overlook Hospital and Gagnon Emergency Center at Morristown Memorial are staffed around the clock by board-certified pediatricians.
- Neonatal intensive care units are equipped with the latest technology for treating medically unstable or critically ill newborns.
- The Valerie Fund Children’s Center provides state-of-the-art care to infants, children, and adolescents with cancer and blood diseases. Liam’s Room, newly opened at Overlook, provides a home environment for children in need of palliative care, including those at the end of life.
